This morning, our tour guide told us that we have to change the way of being addressed in 石林. Then he continued to talk about the ethnic minority groups and history of China. Well... as the travelling journey is long... as usual.. i fell asleep.. haha..
The Yi (彝) people live in 石林. Females are called 阿诗玛 and males are called 阿黑哥.
Check out the costumes. Our 1st destination -- 石林
石林 is famous for its large amont of forest stones and many scenic areas. Covering an area of 12 square kilometers, the Stone Forest Scenic Area includes five sub areas - Bushaoshan, Dashilin, Xiaoshilin, Wannianlinzhi and Liziyuanqing.
There were Ahshima costumes around for people to rent. For RMB10, you can take as many shots as you wan. haha. Me & mum decided to wear.

To be frank, after touring the whole place, it just seemed similar to me cos all over are stones. But you can really see some interesting shapes from the stones.

We took about 3 hours to complete the whole place. So tiring.. its not about walking.. but.. climbing stairs....
Time to blog on my Yunnan trip before I forget everything and its over... haha.. Learn alot of China history from this trip and not forgetting the ethnic minority groups. Its so interesting. Let me introduce on the interesting parts which I had discovered from the trip (well.. i got it all from the net.. My memory can never be so good. haha. )

Day 1 Shanghai （上海）- Kunming （昆明）- Shilin （石林）
After 3 days in Shanghai, its time to set off for our 8-day trip to 云南. All packed to go to take the afternoon flight to start our scenery viewing holiday. Been years ever since I had joined a tour group but guess China is a place that we can travel only with the tour group.
Flight was long... did a transit @ Nan Chang and the airplane is horrible... seats are even smaller than the budget airlines. We paid additional RMB100 for the front seats (as you know, China pple are super KS so rather pay than to squeeze with them). Total flight time took abt 4 hours plus.
By the time we reach Kunming airport, it was already dark. Time for dinner. We met the tour guide who was waiting outside the arrival hall with the MY name. Haha. Went off to a resturant nearby for dinner.
Fruit stall @ the resturant (looks tasty rite?) My mango feast has just started.....
Nothing much for the 1st nite.. but morning call was 630am... so early.. yawnzz!!!!
Hotel was horrible and the place is soo ulu.. stayed over at Shilin so that we could set off early for our 1st sight seeing the next day. Went supper with bro.. look @ the Dali beer and also the 羊肉串. So yummy on a cold cold weather..
